Schottenstein Legal Services has completed representation of several real estate clients in the acquisition of several shopping centers.  The firm is currently assisting clients in the development of several condominium development projects, and office building leasing negotiations and lease preparation.  The firm has further completed several transactions under the tax free provisions of Section 1031 the 1986 Internal Revenue Code, as amended, and has been involved several financing arrangements.

The firm recently successfully negotiated settlement of a law suit filed against an employer on behalf of an individual that had alleged that the employer discriminated against the employee on the basis of age, and sex, and failed to reasonably accommodate the employee's disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The amount of the settlement and the names of the parties are subject to a confidentiality agreement.

The firm successfully negotiated settlement of a law suit filed against an employer on behalf of three (3) female individuals which alleged that the employer had discriminated on the basis of gender and had sexually harassed the employees.
